Welcome to Mount Airy City Schools! 

Below you will find the enrollment packet for students NEW to Mount Airy City Schools (MACS). Please download, print, and complete the packet for your child. If you are enrolling multiple children, each child will need a completed packet.
 
Tharrington Primary School (PreK-2) These forms are not intended for prekindergarten and kindergarten students - enrollment packets for prek and kindergarten are only located at BH Tharrington Primary School's front office. 
Jones Intermediate School (3-5)
Mount Airy Middle School (6-8)
Mount Airy High School (9-12)
 
Other items you will need to bring with the completed enrollment packet(s).
  1. Enrollment packet(s)
  2. Proof of Residency
  3. Birth Certificate 
  4. Immunization Record
  5. Free and Reduced Form (If applicable)

Check Your Address

Visit Surry County GIS to see if your home address falls within the MACS district. 
  1. Enter your home address in the "Search by Address" field and click "Search"
  2. Click "Layers" tab
  3. Scroll down until you see "school districts" and check the box beside the type needed (ie: "Elementary School Districts" "Middle School Districts", etc)
  4. Your school district will be identified
If your address does not fall within the Mount Airy City Schools district and you would like your child(ren) to attend MACS, please contact Becky Parries at Central Office. 336-786-8355.

Enrollment Forms 

If you are enrolling a prekindergarten or kindergarten student, you must visit BH Tharrington Primary's office for packets.
