The Mount Airy City Schools Spelling Bee was packed with confident students who displayed excellent spelling skills.

Mount Airy City Schools is excited to announce that Levi Goins has been named 2024 Educator of the Year through The Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Chelsy Payne, principal of BH Tharrington Primary School (BHT), was named Mount Airy City Schools 2024-2025 Principal of the Year in a surprise fashion on Friday, January 31.

Due to incoming weather at the time of travel for buses, staff, and student drivers, Mount Airy City Schools will have a remote day for today Thursday, February 20.

Due to incoming inclement weather, Mount Airy City Schools will be holding a remote day and buildings will be closed for students on Wednesday, February 19. Staff members need to check their email for more information.

Due to low temperatures overnight, Mount Airy City Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, February 12. This will provide more visibility as buses and drivers begin their routes. Use caution as you travel.
