Mount Airy City Schools has presented two calendars to the Board to consider for the 2021-2022 school year. The current general statute requirements are met with Calendar B.
Mount Airy City Schools would rather have Calendar A, but we must meet the requirements in the law found here.
Until school districts have local control over calendars or the statute is changed for flexibility, we will continue to have calendars that do not meet the needs of our students.
