Schools in Mount Airy City Schools have announced their 2021-2022 Teachers of the Year and Employees of the Year while the district has named its Beginning Teacher of the Year, Bus Driver of the Year, School Nutrition Manager of the Year, School Nutrition Employee of the Year, and Central Office Employee of the Year. In the last month, the district also named Jason Dorsett as Principal of the Year. While COVID-19 has made its way into another school year, district and school leaders have much to celebrate as students have been back to school five days a week since August 17. This is in part to the amazing dedication and effort of staff members, teachers, and leaders.
