Principals Present to the State Board of Education

Based on data that our schools have produced over the past few years, the North Carolina State Board of Education became interested in what was happening in Mount Airy City Schools. They began inquiring about our work and requested students and teachers present MAPSS information for day 1 of their fall planning and work session. Dr. Foster, who has so diligently worked with MACS staff, was involved on day 2 of the work session and wanted our district to share their great literacy work with the board. In the end, the hard work and effort of our students and staff grabbed their attention and they wanted to better understand how Mount Airy City Schools has earned its reputation for excellence. We are proud of our teachers who continue to work and grow EVERY child! Way to go students and staff!
