The Parade of Champions will begin at 9:00 am at Mount Airy High School.
Athletes will walk to the Blackmon Amphitheatre where a brief presentation and the ring ceremony will be held for fall and winter state champions.
Highlights from the year:
- 8 teams were conference champions
- 5 teams made it to the regional championship
- 3 teams won the regional championship
- 9 state championships, 2 being "team" state championships
Ring recipients will be:
- 4x4 relay girls indoor track
- Indoor shot put
- 126 lbs wrestling
- 195 lbs wrestling
- Women's basketball team
With all the successes of this school year, Mount Airy High School is in the running for the Wells Fargo Cup! The last time a traditional school won this was in 2007.
