Social Emotional Learning
Mount Airy City Schools looks to the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), the nation's leading source of research, practice, policy and collaboration in social emotional learning, to create implementation guidelines within our schools.
According to CASEL, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
SEL task force meetings will be held at the Community Central Office 3:30-4:30 on the following dates:
