Beginning Teachers (BTs) and Mentors

Mount Airy City Schools (MACS) is committed to providing a high-quality Beginning Teacher Support Program for teachers within their first three years of service. The district has developed a Beginning Teacher Support Plan (BTSP) to address all district processes and state-level requirements to remain in compliance and lead all beginning teachers to a clear teaching license upon completion of their first three years. The BTSP is reviewed annually, and updates are provided to our Board of Education for their approval.
